May I share with you my personal experiences with Back 9 Sport Sandals.

It reminded me of when I was a kid walking barefoot on the soft grass. The delight of stretching and spreading your toes, feeling the air around your feet and the softness of the yielding grass underfoot. That same freedom is now part of my golf swing setup. Once my feet are in position, I wiggle and spread my toes instead of waggling my club. There is another sense of relaxed natural contact and balance with mother earth that replaces former tightness with a natural hang loose, have fun attitude that has improved my game. The well designed comfortable foundation provides stability and excellent support throughout the swing.

Cool comfort has replaced that hot imprisoned feeling that my other golf shoes created. The joy with my Foot Joys Golf Shoes came when I took them off. It was somewhat the same with the wide array of golf shoes I own, from Nike to Dexters. Some were heavy, most were hot, and I always looked forward to taking them off at the end of a round of golf.

It is different with Back Nine Golf Sport Sandals. I wear a pair of them at home with the optional spike replacements. They are more comfortable than my Birkenstocks or the Rockporters version of the Birks. Heel pain from a bone spur has been greatly minimized since wearing Back Nines. I showed them to my podiatrist who has made custom inserts for me to alleviate a nagging heel problem. He commented on their excellent arch support and foundation design and explained that coupled with their ability to absorb pounding shock provide me with relief from the foot pain I had experienced in the past, especially after playing golf.
