Back 9 -- our stuff kicks
Back 9 was conceived on the 7th tee at the Rockport Country Club (hey, it beats the back of a Chevy Malibu). It was hot and we were reeling. The 7th is a water hazard hole and my partner and I always seem to spend time near the water on holes like that. Some kids were fishing for some of our balls over in the shallows and having a great time picking leaches off each other's legs. I watched them for a minute and thought back to when I was a kid and remembered how great it was to walk barefoot in the summer.

Well, after a few something's over ice at the bar later that day I had a pocketful of cocktail napkins with stuff sketched all over them. Our idea was to make golf fun again and we figured that we'd start with our feet. You ever notice that if your feet are cool, the rest of you is cool?

It wasn't always that way though,

(yikes)...
